I have always been a huge fan for the South Indian food.
The spicy Dosa, Idli ,The mouthwatering Uthappams combined with some spicy Sambar, coconut chutney. All these remind me of my childhood days when my mom cooked at home for us .Although coming from north India my mom was as good as a south Indian in mastering these.
My cravings for some crispy and spicy Dosa today afternoon brought us to the Dosaworld .Its a Sri Lankan and South Indian restaurant in the downtown of Bournemouth ,at Christchurch Road.
The Restaurant is right close to the head of the Christchurch Road from Lansdowne crossing…..
The parking around the restaurant could be a problem immediately. But there is a public car parking right just adjacent to the Christchurch road. (comparatively cheaper).
The restaurant is big with a capacity of around 50 people to fit in easily. The atmosphere is peaceful and clean.
I ordered for a Mysore Masala Dosa (Spread with spicy sauce and potato masala) and my wife chose for Plain Dosa. Both of them came along with some mind-blowing mouthwatering spicy authentic Sambar, mint and coconut chutneys.
I additionally ordered for a Chili Coriander Uthappam (Topped with green chili and coriander). This came in so perfect with the expectations I had for a true uthappam.
I had a coke to drink with my wife opting out of any additional drinks apart from the tap water served.
As we enjoyed the mind-blowing experience ,this reminded me absolutely of sitting in any South Indian Restaurant in India.
The quality of the food was excellent and the food a true authentic South Indian.
The place was evenly filled in by few Indians with children and hop in regular English customers as I understood.
People enjoyed the great food and the service was great. The place has proven catering to the best so far South Indian Food in Bournemouth.
They had some pure Desi Ghee authentic Indian sweets in house .My wife decided to give a go at them. The sweets could not get any better for us.
My cravings for the Spicy South Indian food still goes on. Some Sambar Vada, Idli to be enjoyed in my next trips here.
One thing after today’s meal here is for sure .This Srilankan owned South Indian Restaurant is going to be my favorite place for the South Indian Food in Bournemouth.
Enjoy your spicy meals !!!!!
Peace and love !!!
