Last week got the chance of meeting with an old friend from Romania. He happens to be an Indian food lover and is into app development for his food project.
So the obvious choice to meet in the the heart of Bournemouth was one of my favourite Indian Restaurants Dilli haat .They have recently opened their new branch in continuation to the Westbourne branch they have had for years now.
The restaurant looks pretty spacious and lively as you enter it. We were greeted with a warm welcome as we sat down to the table right by the the bar .
Since this happened to be a Sunday afternoon and me being a vegetarian since the start of this year , I ordered for my self the famous mouth watering Chole bhature menu they have on the weekends.
Chole bhature is some thing I love right from my School days in India. Growing up in Northern India mostly ,I had my own list of favourite restaurants offering this amazing street food .
My friend to his liking chose to go in for his favourite Lamb Korma menu with some Garlic Naan to it.
We ordered for some fresh draught Cobra beer along with a platter of chutnies and spicy sauces to enjoyed with some hot Poppadums.
While we discussed life ,work and the projects in mind ,the Indian food did its job alongside to us with its tongue tickling and mouthwatering taste.
It was great experience meeting with an old friend and enjoying some good authentic north Indian food right in the heart of Bournemouth.
The staff was amazingly helpful and welcome .I had my phone crashing and was offered an immediate rescue to it with hooking it up to a charger nearby. They do have a good bar with some traditional Indian beers and wines and one the friendliest staff on board.
Since we both had things on the agenda ahead ,we decided to go without the sweet dish and instead opted for quick another round of beer for us :))
Dilli Haat stays on my list of best Indian restaurants and I would thank Arun Sharma ,the owner of the Dilli Haat Restaurant and a good friend to starting this amazing Restaurant chain in Bournemouth. He has been earlier on my Podcast too.
