It was a long awaited meeting with my daughter living in London. The place we decided to meet was Southall.
Since its a period of Holi Navaratri for me.Its the time of the year when we do not eat any meat for a period of about 10 days.The place we chose to go to for vegeterian lunch was the famous Saravana Bhavan.
The place as we entered looked jam packed although it was just the early sunday afternoon. We were immediately offered a table for 2 with a welcome smile.

it gave me the feel that i have entered any Indian Restaurant in Delhi .The enchanting voices around and that hustling sound of any Indian Metro City. The resemblance made my mood go emotional.
My daughter was excited and ordered for her favourite Traditional Indian Mango Lassi .For me to my immense happiness i ordered for a big glass of Cobra Beer .( Kingfisher they did not have available although was on the menu)
For our Lunch ,I chose their famous Channa Bhatura menu ,the inspiration for which i received from the gentleman eating on next to us table.
My Daughter ordered for herself a Rava Masala Dosa (Cream of wheat & rice crepe stuffed with spicy potatoes & onion)
We both enjoyed the food immensely chatting and admiring the atmosphere around.My daughter happened to meet a friend of hers incidentaly also enjoying some great Indian food..
Since we had with us a lot of freshly cooked hot Jalebi which we had bought from an adjacent restaurant before entering here,we decided to go without any more sweets.

The time we spent at the restaurant was absolutely thrilling and made our cravings for some authentic Indian food fulfilled.
As we departed from the restaurant ,we agreed to come here back again . And next time with more time and different varities of dishes on their menu.
Southall -Indian Food Haven remains the place for great Indian Food to go in London…..
